Frequently Asked Questions
Here's everything you could possibly need to know about DDI (doof distractive interactive). If there's anything we've missed out, you've probably not read it through!
- How do I upload a game onto doof?
- Go to the upload page (Click on 'Show us what you got!') and follow the instructions. You'll need to fill out some details, but you can get your game to us by uploading it, emailing it or sending us a direct link to it.
- Can re-submit my game if I have done some major changes to it?
- Yes, but let us know that you have previously submitted the game so that we know which version to look at.
- Is it easy to get a game approved for doof.com?
- Yes, as long as your game is good! We're looking for innovative, fun, exciting, cute and addictive games for our players to play!
- What happens once my game is approved?
- If your game is successful in being approved, we will get in touch with you and let you know. Before your game can be used within our site, it will need to have some API code implemented into it so it can work with our tournaments and leagues system. We will provide you with clear and simple instructions on how to implement this requirement into your game.
- Are thousands of people really going to play my game? Or are you just saying that?
- Currently, doof racks up tens of thousands of plays every single day on the current selection of games. We can guarantee that your game will be available for play by thousands of users. Whether or not yours actually gets that many spins depends on it's popularity with the players.
- What do I get out of my game being on doof. Apart from plays and exposure?
- It depends on your game. If your game is exceptionally good and you're clearly a talented developer, we may sponsor your game and discuss future opportunities with you.
- My game is exclusively sponsored with another publisher/portal, is it worth my while uploading my game to you?
- Unfortunately, doof does not host games that are exclusively sponsored by other game portals.
- Will my game end up anywhere else on the internet?
- No, any game that we approve and host on our site stays on doof. It certainly won't be given to anybody else!
- When will I know if my game is going on doof?
- We'll let you know whether your game has been approved within 5 working days. We'll also give you a date for when it goes live. We'll also let you know if your game hasn't been approved and why. In most cases, you can amend a few issues and re-submit your game. This will invariably help your application.
- I'm also uploading my game to other websites. Do you guys mind?
- We like the games that are on doof to be exclusive to doof. So please don't include ads or external links. Your own developer logo is acceptable but pleae don't include a clickable link. Read the "Game Submissions Guidelines"
- What type of games will not be considered?
